Seth Snowden
Director of financial services
Seth Snowden is the Director of Financial Services at Independence and Co., a firm he co-founded to provide trusted bookkeeping, advisory, and business solutions for independently owned businesses and individual entrepreneurs. Independence and Co. has become a resource for clients seeking clarity, efficiency, and confidence in their financial management. Seth’s approach blends technical expertise with a personalized commitment to helping clients achieve long-term stability and growth. With a degree in accounting, Seth combines a strong foundation in business management with deep expertise in numbers, making him a trusted advisor for entrepreneurs and established companies alike.
Over the course of his career, Seth has honed his skills as an expert in transforming business owners’ income, expenses, and other financial matters into organized books that provide a clear record of where money came from and where it went. His work ensures that clients always have a transparent financial picture to guide their decisions. He excels in Setting up books for new businesses to start on solid footing, Cleaning up books for companies that have already begun operations, streamlining accounting processes, Providing analysis and advice to increase profits, reduce cost of goods sold (COGS), and optimize overall performance, and Ensuring clear separation between personal and business finances — a critical practice for IRS compliance and long-term peace of mind
In addition to his leadership at Independence and Co., Seth also serves as Director of Accounting at Solid Rock Enterprises where he oversees financial operations and strategic planning for his family’s firm, further demonstrating his commitment to excellence in financial stewardship. His dual leadership roles reflect a career dedicated to excellence in accounting and a passion for empowering organizations through sound financial practices.
Outside of work, he is actively involved in his community and church, and enjoys historic architecture and preservation, reflecting his appreciation for heritage and craftsmanship.

Lydia Snowden
Director of financial analysis & Modeling
Lydia Snowden is the Director of Financial Analysis and Modeling at Independence and Co., where she leads the firm’s efforts in turning complex financial data into actionable strategies for clients. In this role, she provides forecasting and budget advisory services, helping businesses anticipate future trends and plan with confidence. She also delivers profitability and efficiency consulting, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and maximize returns. Lydia’s expertise is strengthened by her Project+ certification, which equips her to manage initiatives with precision and clarity, ensuring that every financial model and advisory plan is not only accurate but also practical for real-world application. Her work empowers business owners to see the bigger picture, make informed decisions, and achieve sustainable growth.
In addition to her leadership at Independence and Co., Lydia serves as a Financial Planning and Investment Analyst at Financial Cornerstone Group. In this role, she is dedicated to equipping clients with long-term financial strategies that provide clarity and confidence. Working closely with financial advisors, Lydia backs their plans with sound investment portfolios designed to align with each client’s goals.
Lydia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Western Governors University. She further advanced her expertise by completing the Certified Financial Planner professional certificate program at Northwestern University and earning the Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA) Certificate from the Corporate Finance Institute®, expanding her knowledge base in detailed financial planning and investment analysis.
Outside of her professional work, Lydia is active in her local church and enjoys a variety of outdoor hobbies, including camping and canoeing.
With a blend of technical expertise, strategic insight, and personal dedication, Lydia helps clients navigate complex financial landscapes with clarity and confidence.

Anna Snowden
director of business growth & Office design
Anna is the Director of Business Growth and Office Design at Independence and Co., where she guides clients in planning and executing initiatives for their business development, client relations, and strategic growth through marketing. Her undergraduate degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise, enable Anna to bring both analytical expertise and entrepreneurial vision to her work.
Her career spans a diverse range of business types including entrepreneurs, startups, corporations, and investment groups. When she is not working with clients at Independence and Co., Anna serves as the Business Manager for Lorena Veterinary Center, a clinic she was instrumental in founding from the ground up. (Fun fact: The founding veterinarians and owners are her mother and brother – you’ll notice a trend of how important family enterprise is to her! Second fun fact: They hold the honor of being the very first veterinary clinic in the Lorena community – a rare and meaningful thing to be able to say in Central Texas – and a nod to their expertise in evaluating and entering new markets).
Anna’s expertise is wide-ranging. She is certified in project management through Project+, and has guided businesses in entering new markets, developing marketing and advertising strategies and practical plans, and creating organizational structures that bring clarity and efficiency to teams. She has designed operations, processes, and protocols for both new ventures and established companies, ensuring that roles are clearly defined and workflows run smoothly. Her creativity extends beyond numbers and strategy — she has designed offices and overseen office décor to create inspiring and accessible workspaces, and has planned corporate events of all kinds, from simple community market days to formal sit-down gatherings, community celebrations, and client appreciation events.
With a reputation for vision, organization, and client-centered leadership, Anna excels at helping businesses grow while fostering strong community connections. Her ability to blend strategic planning with creative execution makes her a trusted partner for clients and colleagues alike.
